2014 Sununga, Brazil

The Sununga contest has been announced for March 24 – March 30.  More dates have been published in the event calendar. This year the FL Skimboarding Pro/Am will be the East Coast stop on the Women’s UST Tour.

2014 UST Stop #1 will be Sununga, Brazil

We are pleased to announce that once again Sununga will be an official UST stop in 2014.  We are planning a date this spring as early as late March.  Permits are being acquired before we can announce the official date.  Riders and others hoping to attend should begin the process of obtaining necessary travel documentation (such as Brazilian Visas).  More on this coming very soon.

2013 Balboa Oktoberfest, Newport Beach, CA

At the Oktoberfest event, Austin Keen pulled out the greatest come from behind victory in UST history edging just above 2x champ Sam Stinnett in the final event of the year.  Sam had led the tour all year long but Austin found his rhythm in the last two events surging ahead to become the first ever UST champion who learned his craft on the east coast.  Although Austin now calls Southern California home, skimboarders in his native state of Georgia must surely be cheering for the new champ. 2013 Ranking updates before final event

Sam Stinnett and Austin Keen are in a neck and neck race for the 2013 UST title as both placed nearly identically in Vilano and Santa Cruz (near, or at the top).  At this point they have locked down first and second place for 2013.  All that remains is to see if Austin will be able to overtake the two time champ or have to settle for a career best second place UST finish.  There is only one event left and the rest of the top 10 is up for grabs! 2013 Outer Banks, NC

Austin Keen took the top spot in Outer Banks, NC last weekend and in doing so moved himself to second place on the tour based on total points.  However, a closer look shows him narrowly in first place after dropping his two lowest scores, clearly challenging front runner Sam Stinnett for the top spot.  Brad Domke took second at the event moving up to fifth place on the tour while Morgan Just took third, and moved into third on the tour.  Perry Pruitt, Teddy Vlasis, Blair Conklin and Tim Fulton all came up shorter than they would have liked at

2013 VIC, Laguna Beach, CA

Blair Conklin took his first victory at Aliso last weekend in some of the best conditions at the event in years.  In doing so he jumped up to fifth on the tour.  Brandon Sears came in second at the event moving up to seventh on the tour followed by Sam Stinnett who secured his top tour spot further with a third place finish.  The top four was rounded out by Bill Bryan who was able to pick up some points putting him in contention for the rest of the season.  Teddy Vlasis and Morgan Just picked up fifth and sixth

UST introduces Women’s Pro Tour

The United Skim Tour is pleased to announce the inclusion of the Women’s Professional division in this year’s rankings.  The UST Women’s Pro tour will have three stops in 2013: The Vic, Laguna Beach, CA – 6/29 & 6/30 Outer Banks Skim Jam, Kill Devil Hills, NC – 7/20 & 7/21 Oktoberfest, Newport Beach, CA – 10/5 & 10/6 The tour points will be calculated based on the best two contest results for each competitor, over the three sanctioned events.

2013 South Side, DE

Difficult conditions persisted at this years Southside contest and Florida’s Jackson Tenney stepped up to the challenge and won the very first event he competed in this year.  In doing so he launched himself to 11th place on the tour, poised to climb higher.  Austin Keen gave him a run for his money landing in second place and climbing to third place on the tour.  Perry Pruitt snagged third place and following his strong showing in Cabo is now ranked second on this years tour.  Dave Scott took fourth and in doing so made his way up to tenth place

2013 Cabo Classico, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Teddy Vlasis stepped up this year to take 1st at the 2013 Cabo Clasico with endless backside wrap barrels.  East coaster Perry Pruitt stepped up big earning the second place spot followed by Juan Carlos Nazario in third and Brandon Sears in fourth.  The contest results mixed up the current UST standings substantially.  Teddy Vlasis rocketed up to 4th place overall while Perry Pruitt landed in 2nd overall.  Blair Conklin twisted an ankle in his heat and wound up dropping to third overall.  Reigning champ Sam Stinnett got fifth in the event which was enough to open up a significant
